Please pray for my Grandpa Jack...

My Grandpa Jack Meyer was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2007. He did radiation and ate a ton of tomatoes and the cancer shrunk. He went into remission. He had a full body scan in Oct. 2008 and he was still cancer free.

Well he had been very sick for the last several weeks and wasn't getting any better. He stayed in bed most of the time. So my uncle made him a dr. appt and took him to it on Friday. Well they admitted him to the hospital because they didn't know if it was pneumonia or if his cancer was back. They ran tests and drs. talked to my parents, uncles and to my grandpa today.

It turns out he has lung cancer again but on the other lung this time. It's really big and is pushing on his esophagus, so that is why he has had problems breathing, eating, and swallowing anything. They are going to bring the PET scan in on Tuesday and do a full body scan to see if it has spread anywhere else. Then they will start radiation again. He said he will not do chemotherapy.

Please keep him in your prayers. I'll update you more when I know more.

Thanks so much!
Love you all!

Update on Us...

My chiro told me tuesday that i'm doing really good. I didn't need any adjustments or acupuncture this week. My hips are in place, my legs are even and straight again and my back is falling into place right.

So that is awesome! I go back in 2 weeks to make sure everything is going good.

The Chiro said he really believed those piercings in my ear helped a lot last week.

I'm still having problems with concentration and forgetfulness. I go see a Neurologist on Feb 3rd about it.

Update on Bill..

Bill had an appt with an Orthopedic Surgeon thursday about his left shoulder. He said the only thing that he recommends is surgery. It's the only thing that will fix it.

He goes for an another MRI where they will inject dye this time on Feb.3rd then he has another appt with the Orthopedic Surgeon on Feb 4th and they will schedule the surgery that day. They are doing the MRI with dye so the Dr has a better idea of what is really going on and that way he knows what to expect when he does the surgery.

We looked at surgery dates yesterday and it will probably be on March 12th.

The dr. said he will have to be off at least 2 months if not longer after the surgery. So I am going to have to find a job that way we can pay our bills until he gets to go back to work.

We are going to move to a different place here. This apartment is too loud! The people in the upstairs apartments are young and have friends over all hours day and night and they slam doors and stomp around. The floor/ceiling is very thin and we can hear everything that is said up there.

We pay the most rent in the building and our lease is up on March 1st and the landlord said he plans to raise our rent. It's not worth it. We have been here since March 2008 and I have not slept good once because of the noise level. The landlord takes advantage of us and charges usmore rent because he knows Bill has a good paying job.

The gas bill is killing us too. We just got our electric/gas bill yesterday and it was 240.00!! Only 30.00 of that was electric the rest was gas.We only keep our heat on 65 and we have been using a oil space heater. It never gets warm unless we use the space heater.

Bill has a Neurologist appt next thursday for a follow up on his C7 fracture and neck pain.

Please keep us in your prayers.

7 Random Things About Me!

My friend Terri tagged me in her blog, so it's my turn...

    7 Random Things About Me!

    1. I watch A LOT of tv. It's on from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. I am also online at least 9 hours a day most days. I'm addicted to both!! lol

    2. I LOVE to read!! My favorite is Chick Lit. I also love Bookstores and Libraries. My husband says i'm like a little kid in a candy shop when I go into a Bookstore or Big Library. I have big eyes and am so excited. lol

    3. I absolutely LOVE the color Pink!! If it comes in pink i'll take it. lol

    4. I am VERY afraid of a lot of things such as (snakes, mice, rats, spiders, cockroaches, all bugs.) I'm also very afraid of the dark and being alone at night. That's because I was scared a lot as a child and teenager. Also someone tried to break into the places I was at 2 times in a year.

    5. I'm a huge animal lover especially cats and dogs. I treat my animals as children. I love being around animals and prefer to be around animals over people. lol Even when I go to someone's home, I always go right to their pets. Cats and dogs make me happy, and I just love them. :)

    6. My Favorite holiday is Valentines Day. I love all of the pink, red and white things especially things that are heart shaped (as in candles etc.)

    7. Besides Book stores my favorite store is Bath & Body. I am addicted to their different pillow mists and all the different Aromatherapy Body Washes and bubble bath.

My Chiropractor appt today...

I had my chiropractor appt this morning. he worked on me for an hour and I had 20 mins of acupuncture. He said my hip is out of place but he isn't sure what side for sure. He has to monitor it to check for a pattern because the first time he seen me it was one side that was out and now its the other side. So I go back next Tuesday and he'll look at it again. He did a lot of other adjustments in my back and neck.

I got 3 piercing from the chiropractor today. They are little metal rods that have a positive charge and it will pull the negative charge out of the nerve points. That will help with my headaches, neck pain and back pain.

They will fall out on their own when they pull out all the negative energy. Anywhere from 1 to 9 days.

Bill’s MRI results...

The Dr. called Friday with the results of Bill's MRI that he had on his Shoulder on tuesday. It turns out that there is a tear to the rotator cuff and possible other problems. The Drs office was going to call and set up an appt with a Orthopedic surgeon.

It seems like if it's not one thing it's another. It's not fair that we have to go through all of this pain just because some idiot wasn't paying attention. I know everything happens for a reason so there is a reason this happened and there is a reason we are going through all of this.

If he has to have surgery we aren't sure what we are going to do since he is the only one working. He will have to be off while he is recovering. Since it is not a work related injury he cannot get disability.

My best friends husband had to have surgery for a tore rotator cuff and he was off work for 8 weeks.

I'm not going to stress about anything yet until he sees the Orthopedic Surgeon and we'll go from there.

I have faith in God and know we'll be just fine.

I'm in a lot of pain today. I can't get rid of this headache. I have had it for several days now. Hopefully I get to see the Chiropractor this week for that and because my back is killing me!

I am also going to schedule another follow up with the family dr. (who I seen after the wreck and who Bill seen last Monday). I think I have Traumatic brain injury (TBI). I'm still having problems with concentration, loss of hearing and vision. I also have cognitive fatigue.

Please keep us in your prayers. I'll post more soon.
